Bill is a long time entrepreneur who has spent a good portion of his career (though not all) in healthcare. He came to Leaders For Today with the belief that the organization could combine better processes and technology to create a faster, higher quality staffing solution for hospitals and other health care delivery organizations. While no organization is perfect, LFT has made very real strides in building a superior service offering to its competitors. The hope and expectation is to continue to get better and to add product lines that are faster and less expensive for our clients while always improving the candidate quality that we offer.

For fun, a change of pace, and to take a break from his four children, Bill writes novels.

A former professional basketball player, Derek brings his familiar athletic determination and competitiveness to the healthcare arena. Perhaps the most honest, trusted advisor that anyone could ever have, Derek has been a big part of LFT’s success and growth over the past four years. Derek has spent his entire career since basketball working in healthcare — first for Neighborhood Diabetes, a provider of diabetes therapies and training with a unique model where Derek helped lead the company’s growth, and then for LFT. As our COO, his imprint is on virtually everything we do as an organization, from who we hire to building a better search process to creating a culture of determination and success. LFT would not be where it is today without Derek.

Derek does not have any hobbies or spare time as he is always working.

Daniel MooreDan Moore  •  Vice President of Business Development


Dan has been a hands-on business development professional in the staffing industry for the past twenty plus years. He came to LFT after having had truly successful runs, earning the highest distinctions, with staffing organizations Robert Half International, KForce Professional Staffing and Dailey & Associates. Much of this career has been spent on the health care side. Dan has become well known for his dedication to clients and for his passion in delivering great candidates in a timely manner. Everyone at LFT knows what he stands for. As he constantly reminds all of us: “It’s our job to deliver – every time.”

Dan is known for taking calls from whomever and whenever, whether from a client while he is sitting in the bleachers of his youngest son’s high school basketball game or in middle of the night from his oldest son on a Fullbright Scholarship in the Far East.

Carmen Kenrich  •  Vice President of Business Development


Carmen brings over 20 years of healthcare experience to LFT. She has a deep background in healthcare delivery, having held leadership positions in for-profit hospitals, not-for-profit hospitals and physician practice management, before joining Phillips DiPisa, a national C-Suite executive search firm, where she worked for ten years. She held several leadership positions for Caritas Christi Health Care System, including managing their 250-physician group practice and then being part of the senior management team at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. Subsequently she held leadership roles running radiology practices in Washington, D.C. and was part of the senior leadership team at The Parkway Hospital in Forest Hills, NY. Carmen is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and Healthcare Leaders of New York (HLNY).

Carmen served as the Chair of the Board for The Wellness Community of Greater Boston, a support organization for cancer patients and their families. She currently is on the Patient and Family Advisory Committee for Winchester Hospital, a member of Lahey Health.

jeff-schumacherJeff Schumacher  •  Regional Director of Business Development


Jeff spent much of his career in the financial services world at Citigroup and Genworth Financial before jumping into healthcare and a more entrepreneurial culture at LFT. An incredibly smart and engaging individual, Jeff typically is asked to handle many of LFT’s most complex projects. He spends much of his time building relationships and contracting with large hospital systems and human capital organizations operating under master services agreements.

We try not to hold it against Jeff that he is a diehard New York Mets baseball and Columbia University football fan, neither team having had a winning record for as long as any of us can remember.

April Hannon  •  Director of Recruiting


April heads up LFT’s recruiting team. She a trusted advisor and talent management leader known for being innovative, collaborative and solutions oriented. She has a wonderful track record of researching, developing and implementing initiatives aimed at attracting and retaining a highly engaged and productive workforce. Her seventeen years of experience in the Boston healthcare market has given her a large network of healthcare professionals and physicians that she is ready to use to help fill organizations’ needs. April came to LFT from Brigham and Women’s Health Care where she led talent acquisition and retention for a 5,000-employee division of the organization. Prior to Brigham and Women’s, April worked in recruiting positions at New England Baptist Hospital and at Harvard University.

In her spare time, April can typically be found somewhere on a boat.
