Sometimes we just get lucky.

On January 3rd, Carmen Kenrich joins us as a Regional Director of Business Development.  Those of you who know Carmen recognize what an engaging, passionate individual she is who cares deeply about healthcare (and about her three kids whose names all begin with “T” and about the NY Giants).  Smart, dependable, energetic.  And she knows the industry, having been in healthcare since getting her EMT license back in college more than a few years ago.

Carmen has spent that last decade as an executive recruiter at our good friends Phillips, DiPisa and Associates, working with community health care systems, academic medical centers, critical access hospitals, physician groups, and community health centers.  Her role has been to understand their issues/needs and help them find the right candidates to build their teams.  Prior to that, she spent two decades as the director or manager of several hospital operating departments as well as two large private physician organizations.  She knows health care delivery.

This is not a case of poaching from PDA, where Carmen has truly done a great job.  Rather, we had an opportunity that provided yet another step up for her, and, more importantly, it was a position that she really wanted to take on – working on the business development side of the organization.

At LFT, we are in the human capital business.  So it’s essential that we have great people.  If we can do that, the rest is much easier.  If we can’t, we won’t have a business.  We are thrilled to have Carmen join us, because we think she fits that “great people” mold.  She is a WONDERFUL addition.
