Reports to the CNO and has 24-hour responsibility for the Operating Room, Pre-Operative, Post-Acute Care Unit, Central Sterile and Pre Admission testing units. The Director acts as a liaison between the Medical Staff, Patient, Administration, Nursing Staff and other disciplines. The Director is responsible for organizing, planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care. These include overseeing the development and implementation of systems for evaluation of clinical competency of the nursing staff, helping to develop and update standards and policies, consultation of the nursing staff for complex nursing issues, providing pertinent continuing education for staff, mentoring of new staff, materials management, value analysis and Performance Improvement activities.

Education & Experience: MSN, Health Administration, Public Health or Business Administration required, BSN required, Active RN license required, BLS certified, and CNOR  preferred.  Minimum of seven years of progressive responsible roles in management with an extensive clinical background.  A strong understanding of finance is needed to be successful in the position. High levels of analytical, qualitative and problem solving skills, excellent communication skills and skilled team builder.

6 month engagement, housing and travel provided, opportunity for interim to permanent too
